Blood Type O
Blood Type O - (Original) - Caveman Hunter – The original, earliest known human blood group. These muscular, active people prefer a meat-rich diet. Approximately 47% of the UK population are Type O making it the most common of all the blood groups in the UK.
Type O Matters
Type O was the first blood type, and like their ancestors, modern Type O's are born leaders with strong, self-relient personalities. When you customise your life to Dr. D'Adamo's program, you can reap the benefits of your ancestry. Your genetic inheritance offers you the opportunity to be lean, long lived and optimistic.
While Type O's can be powerful and productive, they are vulnerable to certain health conditions; in the 1950's it was discovered that Type O's had about twice the instances of ulcers of all kinds than the other blood types. This is a result of higher than average levels of stomach acid. Eating right for your type helps to balance your acid levels and prevent ulcers. Type O's also tend to have lower levels of thyroid hormone and often exhibit insufficient levels of iodine, a chemical element whose sole purpose is thyroid hormone regulation. This causes many side effects such as weight gain, fluid retention and fatigue. Dr D'Adamo reccommends that Type O's address their health issues with a diet rich in saltwater fish, and kelp to help regulate the thyroid gland and normalise the sluggish metabolic rate and encourage weight loss. He suggests that Type O people avoid eating wheat, corn and dairy as they often trigger digestive health issues.
The benefits of vigorous exercise such as running, aerobics or martial arts are tremendous in type O - in addition to maintaining physical health, they also provide a psychological benefit!
Dr. D'Adamo suggests that you supplement effectively with his Daily Essentials O Personalised Nutrition Pack that include a multivitamin, probiotic, clacium and his unique Deflect O product that are all formulated specifically to meet the needs of Type O's. Additionally, you can enhance your stress recovery with Catechol and support thyroid function with FucusPlus.
